League Meeting Notes (9/18)
Thank you for the great turnout at our league meeting on September 18th. Here are some notes from our meeting:
- athletic team registration will close on October 19th in order for us to conduct a slotting meeting on October 22nd (location and time TBA). This meeting will allow the league to work through any potential issues with athletic divisions with coordinators in the room which should result in a better athletic product this season.
- we will offer a 20 game rec division for 3rd grade girls for the first time. We are not sure if there will be enough teams to make this work but will give it a try.
- we will also offer an athletic B division for 3rd grade girls. We typically don't have enough teams signup for 3rd grade girls athletic to have 2 divisions, but address any issues at the slotting meeting.
- in order to help with the referee shortage, we will move some 3rd grade rec games to Sundays this year based on gym availability and feedback from member organizations
- we may not have enough girls high school teams to have separate JV and Varsity divisions this year and may combine based on registration numbers
Our next meeting will be in January at our usual location, the Evendale Rec Center.
